“Children of War: A Journey of Healing and Homecoming,” a winner of an International Human Rights Film Festival Award and a Cinema for Peace and Justice Award, tells the story of a group of former child soldiers as they undergo a process of emotional and spiritual healing. The film, which is making its Nashville premiere, has also screened at the International Criminal Court Review Conference in Kampala Uganda, during which leaders in the international law community gave special recognition to the suffering of LRA victims in Northern Uganda. The United Nations has invited Single to screen the film in October.
In addition to Single, Lisa Dougan from Resolve Uganda in Washington D.C. will also be in attendance to share information on getting more involved politically to ensure that laws are in place to protect children. To learn more about the film, visit http://childrenofwarfilm.com/.
