FilmNashville seek Nashy Award Nominations

Fifth annual awards ceremony seeks nominees.

 

Each year, FilmNashville presents the Nashy Award to one individual for outstanding contributions to the growth of the Nashville filmmaking community. Past recipients have included Armanda Costanza, founder of A.C. Inc; John Cherry, creator of the "Ernest" movie franchise; Jim Ridley, Nashville Scene editor who has written extensively about Nashville emerging film industry; and Coke Sams, writer/director/producer of Existo, Ernest films, and many other works.

This year FilmNashville is opening up nominations for the Nashy Award to the entire community. The recipient of the 2009 Nashy Award will be honored at this year’s annual Film/TV Town Meeting in the fall.
