The 4th Annual INTERNATIONAL BLACK FILM FESTIVAL OF NASHVILLE (IBFFN) is a culturally diverse, community inclusive, family-friendly celebration of independent film that offers education and entertainment to all. New this year, IBFFN expands its program to showcase the work of men, women, students, and children of all colors, races, nationalities, and ethnicities across the globe.
The Festival embraces all races and cultures in the support, development, and enjoyment of culturally relevant depictions in film, with the goal of presenting a diverse, international program that accurately depict the cultures, images, and traditions of all communities. Through an extensive program of top-quality workshops and networking events, IBFFN provides great opportunities for collaboration and developing careers in the entertainment industry for aspiring filmmakers and seasoned professionals alike.
IBFFN 2009′s highly successful lineup of workshops and events included “The Business of Gospel from A-Z,” “Diversity Initiatives in the Industry,” and the Fast Pitch Contest for a distribution deal, plus a great many other panels and galas. Alum Alvin Moore (A MOTHER’S PRAYER) inked a distribution deal through the Fast Pitch Contest, placing his film into Walmart and Target stores. Exhibiting filmmakers receive two Filmmaker Passes and discounted tickets for friends and family, ensuring that many people benefit from full participation in the rich array of IBFFN programs.
