Nashville July 6 application deadline for show partnering with the 48 HFP..
The 48 Hour Film Project has partnered with Summerset Television to create a new competition reality television show for independent filmmakers called The 48 Hour Film Showdown that will air on the new Halogen cable network.
Each week the show will feature two teams of filmmakers from different cities, pitted against each other in a competition to create the best short film in just 48 hours. The teams will be supplied with all the gear, workspace, and locations they need, as well as additional creative guidelines that might include a theme, prop, or line of dialog they must use. Each episode will detail the ups and downs of the filmmaking process as the contestants fight to complete their team’s masterpiece in time. The winning team will be brought back for future episodes to compete for the season crown and a prize.
Applications are being accepted now through July 6 for filmmakers from the Nashville, Atlanta and Austin areas at the website www.48hourfilmshowdown.com.
