infringement suit. For indie filmmakers, music licensing often means
entering uncharted territory, and it’s easy to get lost. Avoid these
hazards by learning the basics that every filmmaker should know from
industry pros who deal with licensing every day. Panelists Aaron
Mercer (SONY/ATV), Melissa Love (Songfinder), Randall Foster (Naxos
Records), and Jim Scherer (Whizbang, Inc) will discuss copyright
basics, tricks of the trade, offer tips, and much more. Noted
intellectual property rights attorney, Casey Del Casino, will
moderate.
