The AirShip at Vapor Station: The SteamPunk Musical

– a brand-new musical created by Carolyn German (book and lyrics) and Rolin Mains (music).  The show is Directed and Choreographed by Carolyn German, with Musical Direction by Rolin Mains.

AIRSHIP AT VAPOR STATION is a family-friendly show that features a cast of 30 talented youth, from all over the Nashville Metro area, as part of Metro Nashville Parks Theater Department’s Young Actors Program. The production also boasts a live, professional, 7-piece band.

A fearless young woman vows to continue the legacy of her adventurous parents, piloting her AirShip to far lands to bring back her latest discovery: a rare, clear glass that has never been seen in her part of the world.  But there are others who want nothing more than to stop her.

A brilliant take on the genre known as SteamPunk, AIRSHIP AT VAPOR STATION takes place in an imaginary world where a blight has left silk for sails in very high demand, and where this tenacious pilot is the only one left flying.  It’s a world where all children must go to work at the age of 12, and a bureaucratic group called “The Quorum” makes all the laws. And it is in this world that the young pilot triumphs over all the obstacles that come her way.
