Nashville Symphony featured in innovative presentations for Sept 11 performance..
The Nashville Symphony is kicking off its new season at Schermerhorn Symphony Center this Friday, September 11, with a live pre-concert video webcast and live simulcast of the concert on a huge LED video wall outside Schermerhorn Symphony Center, co-produced by Robert Swope of Sunrise Entertainment and Nic Dugger of TNDV, who have collaborated with the symphony staff to create an entirely new event unlike any other in the symphony’s history.
The All-Beethoven Opening Night featuring Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero and pianist Lang Lang will be simulcast live, free of charge, on a 16-by-9-foot LED video wall outside Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Those in attendance prior to the concert will have the opportunity to win a free pair of tickets to the sold-out concert! Live, pre-concert coverage begins at 7 p.m.
The live pre-concert video webcast begins at 7 p.m. with veteran TV personalities Alan Frio and Terri Merryman bringing you exclusive red-carpet interviews, backstage sneak-peaks and more. The unprecedented event, which will also be simulcast live at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, culminates in an “exclusive” live look inside the hall, allowing website visitors to witness the opening minutes of the concert.
“The orchestra continues to deliver great classical and pops concerts to the people of Nashville. In that tradition, the idea of a free concert event on the plaza is a great avenue to deliver world class talent at a fraction the price of live television. And to take a world audience “behind the scenes” for a live hour long pre-concert web cast is just kind of cool! We are thrilled to yet again partner with the Nashville Symphony in delivering brilliant talent to as many people as possible!” says Producer/Director Robert Swope.
